Lo Chan Peng at Palazzo Valier, Venice Fondazione Maddalena Di Giacomo · Palazzo Valier, Venice Lo Chan Peng is honored to participate in La Nota Mancante, the inaugural exhibition of the Maddalena Di Giacomo Foundation (Fondazione Maddalena Di Giacomo), held at Palazzo Valier in Venice. The exhibition will open with a private reception on May 21, 2026, and will be officially open to the public from May 22, 2026, through November 21, 2026. During the 2026 Venice Biennale, Lo Chan Peng’s work will be presented in a city deeply shaped by history, memory, and perception. The Maddalena Di Giacomo Foundation is located near Rialto in Venice, on the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Valier. Established in 2022 by the heirs of Maddalena Di Giacomo, the Foundation was created to preserve her memory and to continue her long-standing engagement with art, beauty, music, and intangible cultural heritage. Its collection and space form a cultural setting devoted to femininity, memory, family, and enduring love. The exhibition takes place at Palazzo Valier, a 17th-century historic palazzo located in Venice’s San Polo district, near Rialto. This historic residence is not merely an exhibition venue, but a space that carries traces of time, memory, and sensory experience, allowing the works to enter into a deeper dialogue with the historical layers of Venice itself. La Nota Mancante centers on memory, perception, scent, atmosphere, and those absent things that cannot be fully articulated, yet continue to resonate within us. Within this delicate and poetic curatorial context, Lo Chan Peng’s work enters into dialogue with the exhibition’s reflections on memory, the senses, and the traces of existence. Sincere thanks to the Maddalena Di Giacomo Foundation, curator Alexandra Mazzanti, and the entire curatorial team for their invitation and support.
